Last weeks minutes

Elliot Carter
Has the letter of support that was sent to the Eco Society on the placement of the market. Related the article that Joyce Jackson placed into the Express last week He is busy with his construction and is now going on his own with the lease and mortgage company.

Phoenix
Scott states was quite and then the past week was very busy

Lonnie's
Joyce has had a busy month so far. The bra fitting has been a great success

Gold Yogi
Theo states that the business has been booming with many people wanting sessions with the Dream Workers and other persons within her business confines

Kootenay Co-op
Dedri is just back from a conference about her business in the USA. The smog was very thick so she appreciated returning to Nelson. The co-op will be supporting the Canada day celebrations with allot of great healthy snacks
etc.

Money Concepts
Duane has been very busy with his office allowing many to grasp his new concept towards money management

John Alton
John was in attendance as the guest speaker and is very appreciative of the support of the NBA. He was able to speak to some of the issues that they are currently working on. Washrooms did come out as a priority.

Other news

Gerry MacKinnon spoke about the proto type of washroom that Al Dawson from the regional district has now started working on. This unit is a flush type with washing facilities much different than the porta potties. He also reported that the Regional district was in talks with the Highways about a pedestrian bridge across at the old Taghum bridge site. Also in conversation with the school board about IA Collinson. Suggestions for a community centre and day care. Also there has been cooperate inquiries about the use of the building.
